River otters are known to prey on swans and waterfowl, particularly when they are young or vulnerable. The City of Orlando enlisted the help of Florida Fish and Wildlife and Orange County Animal Services, leading to the otter's capture and relocation to the South Econlockhatche River on Wednesday, July 17th. The city plans to introduce at least six new swans to Lake Eola by the end of the year.
